Personal

I grew up in Minnesota, but after attending college in New Hampshire I gravitated to Vermont where I met my lovely wife, Mary. We have 2 married daughters with 4 grandchildren, and live in the village of Saxtons River. Mary teaches art and pottery, is the Artistic Director of Main Street Arts, which she founded, and plays cello in our community's orchestra.

Community involvement My community interests involve serving as a very active member of Main Street Arts, Rotary, Village Moderator, and the local Industrial Development Organization and the town Tree Committee.

I enjoy carpentry, cabinet and furniture building, landscape design and construction, especially with stone. My athletic interests center on hockey, which I play about 5 months a year, supplemented by off-season training, which is directed at maintaining/improving my hockey ability.
